On a recent trip to Africa, Caulene Bussard, Marilyn’s sister and world missionary stumbled upon a struggling ministry to the many orphaned children in Nairobi Kenya called “The Children’s Garden”, founded by Moses Ndung’u (Daddy Moses). Without outside help many of these children would not survive. Caulene felt compelled to help and began a project with Slovack children and their families in Bratislavia to raise funds so these needy children could have their basic needs taken care of and at the same time receive an education. As more funds were raised, more children arrived, creating an even greater need. As of today there are far more needy children than funds to provide them even basic needs. Marilyn often wished she could do more to help and now she can – Through You! Please give generously to this worthy project

Turning The Corner

May 24

Today there has been much joy in the Seeley household. For the first time, there has been a huge positive attitude shift in Marilyn’s thinking and attitude. She seems to have begun to internalize many goals and for herself. This is what I have been praying for weeks! Instead of these just being my dreams, I can now feel we are working together to accomplish a common objective.

Yesterday Marilyn worked hard in both physio sessions to not only accomplish more tasks than she had ever completed but also clearly impressed her new therapist. I was elated. Why the sudden change? – I am not sure. Perhaps a different environment gave the incentive (although she made many negative remarks concerning the new facility in the beginning). Maybe her negative feelings sparked a new desire to return home somehow. Whatever the reason, it has given me a new hope for the future.

Marilyn really enjoys each day’s new emails and encouragement from all the friends and acquaintances this journal goes out to. Please keep them coming. And – so far I only have 8 partners in exercise to post in her room. Exercise is a great way to begin a better and healthier lifestyle. Perhaps you already have an exercise program you are following. Please let Marilyn know about it. I will include you as on of Marilyn’s goal partners and post this on the web and in her room. JUST THINK OF ALL THE HEALTHY PEOPLE THIS PROJECT COULD SPAWN.

Here are the goals that are inspiring Marilyn to continue.
