On a recent trip to Africa, Caulene Bussard, Marilyn’s sister and world missionary stumbled upon a struggling ministry to the many orphaned children in Nairobi Kenya called “The Children’s Garden”, founded by Moses Ndung’u (Daddy Moses). Without outside help many of these children would not survive. Caulene felt compelled to help and began a project with Slovack children and their families in Bratislavia to raise funds so these needy children could have their basic needs taken care of and at the same time receive an education. As more funds were raised, more children arrived, creating an even greater need. As of today there are far more needy children than funds to provide them even basic needs. Marilyn often wished she could do more to help and now she can – Through You! Please give generously to this worthy project

Another Tribute

Thank you to Norman Brodie, whose wife is a long time internet friend of Marilyn, for a song/poem he wrote and offered in memory of Marilyn.

From Dust to Dust by Norman Brodie

It seems like only yesterday when you slipped away
The pain that wracked your body was silenced on that day
We are left to carry on, but we’re not alone
With Jesus standing by our side, even when we moan.

Chorus:
From dust to dust He said we are
Born to wither like fields of grass
But in His Image we are made,
And by His love our lives will last.

I know you are in a better place with a body new and strong
The Lord smiling, says “Well done! It’s time to come along.”
I cannot say how long we’ll grieve, how long this pain will last
But I am sure we’ll meet again when our time is past.

Oh, Lord, will You please hold my love, and keep her in Your arms
Give her the peace and comfort that erases all the harms
We so want to be with her, and in Your presence too
But You have left us here on earth, a mission yet to do.

Lord we need Your love to carry on, Your Word to keep us strong,
And we will praise You every day, although this world seems wrong
For through the gift of her you gave, for even just a while
We had a glimpse of what it will be like to see You smile.

Heaven

HEAVEN

Heaven was her chosen ‘home’ She’s already there today!
Jesus is the only One who’ll be the “Sunny Ray”
No need for any Christmas lights or solar panels there
For Jesus is the source of Light, the Son of God, so fair!

I’m so looking forward to a walk on Heaven’s street
The one that’s paved with purest gold, I’ll touch with my bare feet!
I’ve never walked on gold before, not many have, have you?
Will it be soft or slippery or glistening with dew?

That beautiful Holy city, like jasper, crystal clear will shine
No church or temple with stained glass has ever looked so fine
Each of it’s gates is one great pearl, so perfect, imagine that?
Our finite minds can hardly grasp these wonderful, marvelous facts!

The foundation of the city is of jewels we’ve never seen
Jasper, emerald, sapphire and amethyst with sheen
The myriad of colors will be dazzling and bright
As we bend our knees and worship Christ, the Son of God, our light

In Heaven there will be no tears, no crying and no pain
Our hearts forever riveted on Christ who is our gain!
He gave His life that we might live enfolded in His love
With angels singing, “He is Lord”, in Heav’n, our home above!

Even if we cannot sing, our voices then we’ll blend
With hosts of folks from all the world, our songs will have no end
Worthy is the Lamb of God, will be our endless theme,
Exalt His name and hold Him high, He’s our eternal dream!

Imagine living every day, with Jesus by our side!
To walk and talk with our great King, who gave his life and died,
To ask Him all about the things we couldn’t understand
We’ll see our lives through His tender eyes, and share in what He’s planned.

Well Heaven’s getting closer to us with each passing day
And Marilyn, I know, looked for the day Jesus Christ would say,
“Your mansion is ready and waiting, Welcome Home my beloved one,”
Your pain and pills and sleepless nights, those are finally done!

Yes Heaven is a place of JOY, a place of LOVE and PEACE
There’ll be no starving, crippled children on Heaven’s golden streets
No army tanks, no snipers, no hate, no evil of any kind
Our brothers and sisters from war torn lands, in Heaven at last, will find…

PEACE and LOVE and JOY to the full, beholding Jesus’ face!
The lame will jump for joy down the street, the blind on Jesus will gaze!
No threat of cancer or diabetes or heart attacks up there!
No colds or fatigue or even headaches, in Heaven there are no cares!

The Great Physician is Marilyn’s King, she’ll worship at His feet
With no aches or pains or work schedules, each day with joy she’ll greet
The Son of God, who has prepared her mansion with great love
She’ll sing and dance and clap to Him, her God in Heaven above

Her food will be from the tree of Life, such fruits she’s never had
She’ll savor the sweetness and juicy treats, but this diet is no fad
God created all those wondrous tastes, no allergies, cholesterol, or fats,
No bloating, no nausea, no cravings there, hunger’s a thing of the past

Zion, the Heavenly, Holy city, is waiting for each of us
From death to life is the quickest mode, no long trip by bus
How to get there is plainly written in Scripture, holy and true
Be ready and active when Jesus calls, he’ll be there to carry us through.

How do you get to Heaven so fair? We all want to go, don’t we?
Well the Bible says, there’s only One way, and that’s thru Jesus, you see,
He was the only perfect One, our debt of sin he paid,
He came to earth as a tiny babe and in a manger was laid

But He was God and He grew to be the Savior of the world
Though men of old, mocked and jeered and stones at him were hurled,
He died up on the cross one day, because He loved us so
Someone had to pay sin’s price, so we to Heaven could go

If you accept this gift so free, you’ll have eternal life
That means you’ll go to Heaven some day, where there is no strife
Won’t you tell Jesus you believe He is God’s only Son?
Let Him forgive your sins today and make Him number one!

So don’t be late, make your heart right – today open the gate
Life without Jesus is not worthwhile; please… don’t believe in fate
It’s only Christ’s death on the cross for us that allows us freedom from sin
Heaven’s the reward Marilyn lived for and death couldn’t keep her from HIM!
