On a recent trip to Africa, Caulene Bussard, Marilyn’s sister and world missionary stumbled upon a struggling ministry to the many orphaned children in Nairobi Kenya called “The Children’s Garden”, founded by Moses Ndung’u (Daddy Moses). Without outside help many of these children would not survive. Caulene felt compelled to help and began a project with Slovack children and their families in Bratislavia to raise funds so these needy children could have their basic needs taken care of and at the same time receive an education. As more funds were raised, more children arrived, creating an even greater need. As of today there are far more needy children than funds to provide them even basic needs. Marilyn often wished she could do more to help and now she can – Through You! Please give generously to this worthy project

The Journey Continues

April 22
Not much change today and no real significant relief from the pain. The nurses and transfer team were able to help Marilyn take a real shower today for which she was very thankful. I sat and rubbed her back and thigh with our special anti stress cream for about 2 - 3 hours which seemed to help her relax so she fell asleep for an hour or so just before supper. After supper the pain and discomfort returned so I stayed around until 10 waiting for some special medicine that had to be ordered in. While I was waiting I had a long talk with the desk unit nurse and convinced her to make a special effort and encourage Marilyn to set a goal to work at getting mobile enough to come home. Please make this your prayer for her, as I feel that if she could accomplish this, she would have the attitude and energy needed to fight back. Often her pain increases when the nurses ask her to rate it on a 1 to 10 scale. I pray that a positive attitude will empower her to cope and control the pain.
