I am sitting at my desk during one of the few short breaks in my busy school day so can't take much time for writing, I do need to say however that the last few days have been very difficult as Doctors and nurses try unsuccessfully to unscramble the reasons for Marilyn's recent downturn. Her blood count has dropped in all areas, she has become almost totally immobile, her blood sugar levels are spiking and she is in a state of confusion and delirium.
Today will be the 3rd out of 5 radiation treatments and perhaps the side effects of this powerful treatment that is causing Marilyn so many problems. Thankfully there has been a familiar face in the room with her as she has had to endure each trip to and from the appointments. Each day though, she has been less responsive and understanding of what is taking place in her life.
Thank you for the many prayers and words of encouragement I have both heard and read during this difficult time. We are still holding on to God as our comfort and strength.

We will continue to pray for you both. Our hearts are heavy for you as you go through this valley. Thank you for keeping everyone updated.
We will be gone for a few days - will be home Monday evening. Hope Marilyn has an upturn so we could come in and see her.
